Tunisia nabs main suspect masterminding catastrophic attack

Tunisian security forces arrested the leader of the terrorist cell behind the deadly attack against the Bardo museum, Minister of the Interior Najem Gharsalli said on Thursday.
Mohamed Amine Guebli is head of the terrorist cell which launched a deadly attack on the Bardo museum on March 18, leaving 20 tourists and one police officer dead and 47 others wounded.
During a press conference held Thursday, Gharsalli revealed that 23 individuals were arrested, including one woman, who were all "directly involved in the Bardo attack."
The cell also consists of members who have recently returned from Syria and Libya, including two Moroccans and one Algerian.
However, more suspects remain on the run, including Maher Ben Gaid, a Tunisian individual classified as "dangerous terrorist," Gharsalli said, adding that 80 percent of this cell members belongs to the Oqba Ibn Nafaa brigade.
The two main terrorists who led the attack were killed by Tunisian security agents during a firefight, at the Bardo museum.
Anti-terrorism special forces confiscated weapons, grenades and explosives that the two suspects possessed during their attack. Endit
