Vietnam top at ATF Taekwondo Championships

Vietnam are ranked top in the medal tally at the 12th ASEAN Taekwondo Federation (ATF) Championships 2015, which wrapped up here on Wednesday.

After three days of competitions in both men's and women's categories, Vietnamese taekwondo athletes won 46 gold, 29 silver and 19 bronze medals.

The Philippines were runners-up with 21 gold, 26 silver and 9 bronze medals, while Malaysia came third with 5 gold, 9 silver and 18 bronze medals.

Co-organized by the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation and HCM City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the three-day tournament attracted 337 athletes from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore, East Timor and host Vietnam.

It was seen as a rehearsal for the upcoming 28th SEA Games to be held this June in Singapore. Endi
