President of Albania Bujar Nishani on Wednesday sent his condolences to German President Joachim Gauck and King Felipe VI of Spain over yesterday's tragic plane crash.

It was reported that about 45 Spaniards and 67 German nationals have been killed when an Airbus A320 plane operated by Lufthansa's budget airline Germanwings crashed in the southern French Alps on Tuesday with 144 passengers and 6 crew members on board.

The Albanian president said in his message that he extended his deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathies to the relatives and families of the victims for their loss of loved ones.

"There is no word to describe this tragedy. I assure you that we stand with you in this time of sorrow for your country and the families of the victims and we pray their souls rest in peace," said Nishani. Endit
