Albanian police detain 81 illegal migrants

Albanian border police in Shkoder, north of Albania on Sunday detained 81 illegal migrants, mainly from Syria, who were trying to cross the border to Montenegro.

Albanian police stopped a small truck which was carrying 81 foreigners, near Hani i Hotit border crossing point to Montenegro.

Verifications showed that these people came to Albania in an illegal way and were trying to cross the border to Montenegro illegally.

The driver of the truck, Gentian Gjonaj, was arrested and being prosecuted for human beings trafficking. Endit
