Formula One cancels German GP

Xinhua, March 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

Formula One German Grand Prix has been crossed off this year's list of races as there is no available venue for the July 19 race.

Formula One's governing body the FIA has issued a revised calendar featuring just 19 races instead of the original 20.

2014 hosts Hockenheim was expected to stage the race again in 2015 but the venue was never officially confirmed.

On Thursday the managing director of the Hockenheim track Georg Seiler said it was too late now to organize it but they planned to host the German GP in 2016 and 2018. Endi
