Iceland's wage index records 0.5 pct increase in February

Iceland's wage index reported a month-on-month increase of 0.5 percent in February 2015, according to Statistics Iceland on Friday.

The figures showed that the wage index in February was 500.8, taking the wage in December 1988 as base number of 100, increasing by 0.5 percent compared with 498.1 in January.

In the past 12 months, the monthly wage index has increased by 6.4 percent.

The real wage index in February was 121.7, decreasing by 0.1 percent compared with that of the previous month.

In the past 12 months, the real wage has increased by 5.6 percent. Enditem
