Dynamo Kiev advances to UEFA Europa League quarterfinals

Ukraine's Dynamo reached the quarterfinals of the UEFA Europa League, beating England's Everton 5-2 on Thursday night in Kiev, with a 6-4 aggregate result.

The Olympic stadium in the Ukrainian capital drew a sell-out crowd of 67,553 fans representing a new Europa League record.

The massive crowd gave the match a thrilling atmosphere and inspired the team from Kiev to victory.

Dynamo opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a strike by Andriy Yarmolenko, but Everton's Romelu Lukaku equalized eight minutes later.

Shortly afterwards, Lukasz Teodorczyk put the hosts 2-1 up and Miguel Veloso made it 3-1 in the 37th minute with a powerful shot into the top left corner.

The other two goals of Dynamo were scored by Oleg Gusev at minute 56 and Vitorino Antunes at minute 76.

The British side Phil Jagielka reduced Dynamo advantage in the 82nd minute with a header into the top left, sealing the final score of the match. Endi
