Wang Zhen claims 20km walk in China GP

Xinhua, March 20, 2015 Adjust font size:

Wang Zhen took the men's 20km title with a time of one hour, 19 minutes and 29 seconds at the 2015 National Race Walking Grand Prix here on Friday.

Cai Zelin from Yunnan Province finished second, ahead of 2012 Olympic gold medalist Chen Ding of Guangdong.

Wang, bronze medalist in the London Olympics, said: "The preliminary plan was to go with the group and speed up after 15km. I didn't have a particular target. I just followed my pace."

Chen admitted he didn't race well, citing a lack of stamina. Endi
