Flamengo in bid for Colombia defender Armero

Xinhua, March 20, 2015 Adjust font size:

Flamengo are in talks to sign Colombia international defender Pablo Armero, according to media reports on Thursday.

The Rio de Janeiro outfit hopes to sign the left-back on loan from Udinese until the end of the season, with the option of making the move permanent, according to Lancenet.

Armero is currently on loan at AC Milan, where he has struggled for opportunities under manager Fellipo Inzaghi.

Flamengo boss Vanderlei Luxemburgo is a known fan of the 28-year-old, having managed him at Palmeiras in 2009-10.

Armero, who has also had spells at West Ham United, Napoli and America de Cali, has been capped 63 times for Colombia. Endi
