Indian stocks close lower

Xinhua, March 19, 2015 Adjust font size:

Indian stocks closed lower on Thursday, weighed down by banks, capital goods, realty and oil and gas stocks.

The benchmark S&P BSE sensex rose in trade in line with other Asian markets, after comments made by the U.S. Federal Reserve late on Wednesday.

However, the benchmark index came under selling pressure in the last one hour of trade and plumped from its intraday high of 28, 978.74.

The benchmark S&P BSE sensex closed at 28,530.31, 91.81 points or 0.32 percent down from previous close of 28,622.12. Endi
