French stock market index up 0.09 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed at 5,033.42 points on Wednesday, an advance of 0.09 percent, and up 4.49 points.

The CAC 40 closed slightly higher on Wednesday with 20 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

Wednesday's top three gainers were Lafarge, up 5.45 percent, Total, up 1.75 percent, and Unibail-Rodamco, up 1.07 percent.

The three companies that lost most on Wednesday were Renault, down 4.36 percent, Valeo, down 3.18 percent, and Legrand, down 1.99 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 0.64 percent at 5,028.93 points, down 32.23 points. Endit
