Speaking to reporters after a one-hour meeting, spokesman for Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Koy Kuong said the two sides discussed ways to further enhance bilateral ties and cooperation.
He said McKean stated that the visits of U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and House minority leader Nancy Pelosi to Cambodia on March 20-22 and March 30, respectively, would contribute to further promoting ties between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Hor Namhong briefed McKean about the latest development of political situation in Cambodia and suggested that the United States study the real situation in Cambodia, not focus only on the reports by the opposition groups, which do not reflect the reality in the country. Endi
