Militants hold tourists hostages inside Tunisia museum

Xinhua, March 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

A group of militants in disguise as soldiers entered the Bardo museum through the Tunisian parliament building on Wednesday and held some tourists as hostages, according to local media.

Local reports said gunshots were heard near the parliament headquarters on Wednesday morning, which was immediately evacuated. Security forces were then seen heavily present in the area.

The militants were reportedly holding a number of tourists as hostages inside the museum. The Bardo area is entirely closed as security forces are still going after the gunmen. Endit
