Tianjin highlights its tourism potential in Madrid

The Chinese National Tourism Office together with the city of Tianjin jointly held an event to help promote the city as a tourist destination here on Tuesday.

Zhang Zhiyun, the director general of the Chinese National Office of Tourism in Madrid, highlighted that China is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world as well as the biggest internal tourist market in the world.

He commented that Tianjin, the biggest open coastal city and the third biggest city in China, as well as being an ecological city and an important port, was a hub for medical tourism which reflected the development of modern China.

Tianjin is 28 minutes away from Beijing by high-speed train. Endit
