Robber of Beijing's Cartier store confirmed Malaysian

Beijing police detained a Malaysian man who robbed the Cartier store on Beijing's main shopping street Monday evening, police announced on Tuesday.

Mio Kitleng, 38, is currently in police custody.

Kitleng took several watches from the store using a plastic toy gun, and fled in a hijacked taxi.

Police received the call at around 7 p.m. and apprehended the man two kilometers from the scene at 7:35 p.m..
