Xinhua, March 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

Twenty-one Indian soldiers were injured Tuesday after the vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near the Line of Control in Indian-controlled Kashmir, said local TV channel NDTV.

The incident took place at the region's Rajouri district which has been subject to incessant rains over the past several days.

Four soldiers, who are seriously injured, have been airlifted to an army hospital in the nearby city of Udhampur.

The rains have also forced the highway between the Jammu and Srinagar areas to be shut. Endi
