Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, on March 20 to attend a summit among leaders of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, the Kremlin said Monday.

"The three leaders will discuss the current state and future prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the three countries and Eurasian integration, taking into account the impact of current global economic trends. They will also exchange views on the current international affairs, in particular the situation in Ukraine," a Kremlin statement said.

"Putin will also have a bilateral meeting with (Kazakh President Nursultan Abishuly) Nazarbayev during the visit," the statement added.

Earlier in the day, Kazakhstan's presidential office also confirmed the date of the trilateral summit. Endi
