2nd LD: 4 killed, 36 wounded in suicide church bombings in E. Pakistan

At least four people were killed and 36 others wounded when suicide bombers blew themselves up at the entrance of two churches in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore on Sunday, local media reported.
Geo TV said unknown gunmen opened fire at the churches and fled the scene before two suicide bombers tried to enter the churches in Youhanabad area of Lahore, the capital city of the country's eastern Punjab province.
Stopped by the police at the gate, the bombers blew themselves up, killing four people, including a policeman.
There were around 500 people inside the churches which are close to each other.
Police arrested a suspect, who was allegedly giving instructions to the suicide bombers.
Enraged Christians, who were praying inside a church, also beat to death an unknown person claimed to be the companion of a suicide bomber.
The injured have been shifted to General Hospital Lahore, where at least six to eight people were in critical condition.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack and asked authorities to beef up the security of churches, mosques and other worship places across the country.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. Endi
