Xinhua to live broadcast Premier Li's press conference on social media

Xinhua News Agency will offer a live broadcast on its social media accounts the press conference to be given by Premier Li Keqiang at 10:30 a.m. (02:30 GMT) Sunday.

Reportage on the press conference can be found on Xinhua's Twitter account (XHNews) and Facebook account (XinhuaNewsAgency) in real time. Xinhua's YouTube account (ChinaViewTV) will provide video clips following the press conference.

Li is scheduled to meet the press after the closing of China's annual legislative session.

Xinhua officially unveiled the global social media presence this month after re-branding its Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts under a unified name "New China."

It offers China and world news around the clock on its social media accounts. Xinhua's global social media accounts are managed by a specialized team of about 100 journalists, who were picked from Xinhua departments in its headquarters and bureaus across the world.
