Defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande grabbed a second victory with a 2-1 win away at newly-promoted Chongqing Lifan at the second round of 2015 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.

Both sides played impetuously at the start of the match. Guangzhou's Huang Bowen got hurt after colliding with Chongqing's Emanuel Gigliotti in the 5th minute. Two minutes later, Chongqing defender Sun Jihai received a booking for his foul on Guangzhou forward Gao Lin.

Guangzhou broke the deadlock in the 17th minute as Elkeson sent the ball in from the right, Gao Lin dove in and scored with a header. Ricardo Goulart extended Guangzhou's lead by beating the offside trap in the 41st minute. Zhang Chiming pulled one back for Lifan but it could not prevent a second successive loss in the new season.

In another game on Saturday, Jiangsu Sainty beat Guizhou Renhe 2-0 at home. Ren Hang put Jiangsu 1-0 in the 57th minute after a goalless first half.

In the 67th minute, Sergio Escudero followed up and scored his first goal for Sainty after his teammate Sammir's fierce shot was blocked by Guizhou's goalkeeper Sheng Peng. Jiangsu kept the lead to the end and sent Guizhou a second consecutive loss. Endi
