2015 Art Basel to showcase stunning works in Hong Kong

The 2015 Art Basel will take place on Sunday in Hong Kong, featuring 233 premier galleries from 37 countries and regions, with more than 3,000 artists' stunning works.

Director Asia of Art Basel Adeline Ooi said the organizer is committed to supporting the art scenes in Asia by providing an international platform for galleries and artists from across the region, and it also encourages the public to actively participate in the art world.

The main Galleries will feature 179 modern and contemporary art galleries with high quality of painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and editioned works.

Sited at the heart of both floor levels, the Insights sector will highlight solo shows, exceptional historical material and strong thematic group exhibitions by galleries from Asia and Asia- Pacific region.

The Discoveries sector will showcase emerging artists from around the world with solo- and two- person exhibitions, including theatrical-narrative project and mock anechoic testing chamber, while the Encounters sector will exhibit large-scale sculptural and installation pieces.

The long-established Conversations and Salon sector will gather renowned artists, gallerists, collectors, museum directors, curators and critics worldwide to share their views.

Art Bazel, which stages the world's premier art shows from modern and contemporary works, is sited in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong. Endi
