BiH parties agree on state, entity governments

Several main parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) announced on Thursday they agreed on make-up of state government and that of Federation of BiH (FBiH), an entity of BiH, 5 months after the general elections.

The Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) and Democratic Front (DF) said their leaders reached the agreement after several rounds of talks.

The state government and FBiH government were to be formed in the following one or two weeks, the parties said.

"I have been informed to verify the papers of the candidates tomorrow when I receive names for the FBiH Government so that competent persons are appointed to adequate positions", said Marinko Cavara, the FBiH president.

Besides SDA, DF and HDZ, a coalition from Republika of Srpska (RS), another entity of BiH, will join to form the state government. Enditem
