Man. City give one-year contract extension to defender Demichelis

Xinhua, March 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Manchester City extend contract for center-back Martin Demichelis for one year on Thursday, the English Premier League champions announced on Thursday.

The 34-year-old Argentinean signed for City from Atletico Madrid in September 2013 and is now under contract until the end of the 2015-16 season.

"I want to say that I am really proud and happy to have extended my contract for another year," Demichelis, 34, said on the City website. "I will fight for this club and for my teammates until the end of my contract. I will fight to try and win titles." Endi
