Albanian unemployment rate stands at 18 pct in last quarter of 2014

Albania's unemployment rate reached 18 percent during the last quarter of 2014, according to official figures released on Wednesday.
The labor force participation rate of young people aged from 15 to 29 registered 44.2 percent, with employment rate for this demographic group standing only at 29.2 percent, said the Albanian Institute of Statistics.
As for people aged from 30 to 64, the labor participation rate was 74 percent, while the employment rate was 64.5 percent.
Despite the striking number of unemployment rate, the country's employment rate actually rose by 8.5 percent compared with the last quarter of 2013. Endi
