Slovakia to issue bonds worth over 5 bln euro in 2015

Xinhua, March 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Slovakia is planning to issue bonds worth over 5 billion euros (about 5.3 billion U.S. dollars) this year, announced Slovakia's deputy prime minister and finance minister Peter Kazimir after a government session on Wednesday.

Slovakia's ability to borrow funds on financial markets on favourable terms is not only due to a "positive external atmosphere," but also thanks to the country's disciplined approach to public finances.

"It's also thanks to our having a positive rating, and because foreign investors view Slovakia as a credible country," added Kazimir. Endit
