Slovakia reaffirms support for Albania's integration into EU

Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Miroslav Lajcak said Tuesday that his country fully supports the acceleration of Albania's integration into the European Union (EU).

Visiting Lajcak made the remarks at a meeting with Albanian Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta. They lauded the development and upgrade of bilateral relations in recent years, according to the Albanian Daily News.

Thanking Slovakia for its continuous support for the process of Albania's integration into the EU, Meta praised Slovakia as a successful model for EU candidate countries.

During the meeting, Lajcak also voiced support for other Western Balkan states' bids for an EU membership. Endi
