Fire kills five in northern France

A woman and her four kids were found dead on Tuesday after a fire broke out at their home in Saint-Jans-Cappel in northern France, local media reported.

"The mother and the four children died in the fire, which broke out shortly after 1 a.m. local time", the news channel BFMTV quoted the gendarmes as saying.

The father, who was also in the house at the time, threw himself from the first floor and suffered serious injuries in his leg, they said.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. Endi
