Xinhua, March 10, 2015 Adjust font size:

Singapore's Curtin University on Tuesday confirmed that its official website has been attacked by hackers who claimed to come from the Islamic State on Sunday, Channel NewsAsia reported.

"Curtin University became aware on Sunday that its Curtin Singapore website was defaced and immediately disabled the website, " said Ian Callahan, corporate services vice-president in response to media queries.

The hacked website was displayed with "Hacked by Islamic State" as well as a flag that belongs to the militant group.

Curtin University said that the website has returned to normal by mid-afternoon on Monday and police has been informed about this incident. Endi
