Albania's CPI increases in February 2015

Consumer price index (CPI) in Albania in February slightly increased compared to the same period of 2014, National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) reported on Monday.

According to data published by INSTAT, the annual CPI in February 2015 was estimated to grow 2.3 percent. A year ago the annual CPI stood at 1.9 percent.

The annual growth rate in February was pushed up mainly by food and non-alcoholic beverage, which contributed by an increase of 1.88 percentage points, while alcoholic beverage and tobacco contributed 0.23 percentage points.

The education services group contributed by an increase of 0.15 percentage points, whereas rent, water, fuel and energy prices group contributed 0.12 percentage points.

In addition, communication contributed an increase of 0.10 percentage points, while transport and health have experienced a decrease of 0.20 and 0.15 percentage points respectively. Endit
