KMT chairman says to continue exchanges with CPC
Xinhua, March 10, 2015 Adjust font size:
Chu Li-luan, the newly elected chairman of Kuomintang (KMT) and mayor of Taiwan's New Taipei City, said Monday here that KMT's position towards "1992 Consensus" is consistent and will continue the exchanges with the Communist Party of China (CPC).
After giving a speech at the Taiwan-Hong Kong Forum held here, Chu said the KMT and the CPC have had regular exchanges including talks and forums after Lien Chan took the seat of KMT chairman.
He said the Cross-Strait Economic, Trade and Culture Forum ( CSETCF) has been held for nine times, and the former KMT chairmen, including Lien Chan and Wu Po-hsiung had attended it for many times.
It therefore should not be surprising if he attends the forum as the KMT chairman, Chu added.
He said the CSETCF is not the only exchange platform between the KMT and the CPC, and other events include the Strait Forum, the ZiJinshan Forum and the Boao Forum for Asia. Endi
