Vietnam beat Indonesia 1-0 in U-23 soccer friendly

Vietnam's U-23 soccer team, the Olympic team, beat the Indonesian counterpart 1-0 in a friendly match at the My Dinh Stadium in Vietnam's capital on Monday.
Vietnam's Vo Huy Toan scored the sole goal in the 75th minute in a batch of friendly games that Vietnam's Olympic soccer team set to play ahead of the qualifiers of the Asian Confederation Cup U-23 championships 2016 in late March.
Earlier last Thursday, the Vietnam's Olympic team defeated T&T of capital Hanoi 3-1 also in a friendly match.
Later as scheduled, the Vietnamese squad, under the leadership of Japanese Coach Toshiya Miura, will play friendly matches with local Quang Ninh Coal on March 10, Uzbekistan on March 14 in Vietnam's southern Ho Chi Minh City, and Thailand on March 22 in Bangkok.
Vietnam's Olympic soccer team gathered in Hanoi on Feb. 24 to begin training for the upcoming AFC U-23 championship qualifiers.
On March 23, they will travel from Bangkok to Malaysia to attend the AFC U-23 qualifiers, in which 43 soccer teams are divided into 10 groups.
Vietnam are placed in Group I together with Japan, Malaysia and China's Macao. Endi
