Singapore stocks close 0.38 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 12.94 points, or 0.38 percent, to close at 3,404.57.

A total of 1.18 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 21 billion Singapore dollars (889.7 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 287 to 144, while 502 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 22.24 points, or 0.66 percent, to close at 3,417.51 on Friday. Endi
