Jefferson lifts Hornets past Pistons

Al Jefferson scored 24 points to hold the Charlotte Hornets off the Detroit Pistons 108-101 on Sunday night.

The Hornets started the fourth with a 20-6 run to take a 98-90 lead with five minutes left to seal the victory.

Williams had 19 points and nine assists for the Hornets, and Henderson added 13 points, nine assists and six rebounds as all five Charlotte starters scored in double figures.

Reggie Jackson led the Detroit with 25 points and Greg Monroe added 18 points and 11 rebounds. Jodie Meeks had 13 and center Andre Drummond finished with 16. Endi
