Czech Republic beat Australia in Davis Cup doubles

Czech pair Jiri Vesely and Adam Pavlasek overcame Australians Lleyton Hewitt and Samuel Groth 1-6, 7-6 (7-2), 3-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 in a double's match of the Davis Cup World Group first round.

Australia still lead 2-1 despite Saturday's loss.

Czech team captain Jaroslav Navratil said he did not expect that the team could stay in the match after the two defeats in singles on Friday. The victory revived the possibility of Czech team's hope to the next round of the men's team tennis event. Endi
