However, the president categorically stated that his government would safeguard the achievements that Afghanistan has made over the past 13 years.
Afghanistan has made tremendous progress in several fields including freedom of expression and human rights especially women rights in the conservative society, a development that Taliban outfit is opposing to.

The Afghan president also said that he would soon introduce the remaining members of the cabinet to Wolesi Jirga for approval. Eight members of the cabinet have already been endorsed by the parliament while majority of the ministries are still run by acting ministers since the Afghan presidential inauguration in September.
President Ghani also said that Afghanistan"won't be a ground of proxy war longer" and instead the country would help develop trade and economic activities in the region, saying a stable Afghanistan would benefit the whole region and the world at large.
The Afghan president also called upon all Afghans including the parliamentarians to support Afghan national security forces, adding the national security has adopted aggressive mod and thwarted the enemies' vicious designs to hold territory in Kunar, Helmand or other parts of the country.
