South Korea on Friday called the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK)'s reaction to an attack against the U.S. ambassador to Seoul "irrational."

"Violence against diplomatic missions cannot be pardoned in any case. (The government) strongly criticizes North Korea (DPRK) for distorting the nature of this case and supporting it," Seoul's Unification Ministry spokesman Lim Byeong-cheol told a routine press briefing. ZAMBOANGA, Philippines -- Two public school teachers were kidnapped by Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) militants in southern Philippine province of Zamboanga Sibugay on Thursday, local police said on Friday.

The police said the teachers, one of them female, were aboard their service motorcycle when they were flagged down by six suspects at around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday in Moalboal village. ( Philippines-Kidnap-Militants)

JEJU, South Korea -- The second International Electric Vehicle Expo (IEVE) kicked off on South Korea's popular vacation spot Jeju island on Friday, attracting around 70 electric vehicles (EVs)- related companies worldwide.

The expo, hosted by South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Environment and Jeju special self- governing province and held at the Jeju International Convention Center, will last for 10 days from March 6 to March 15 under the theme of "E-mobility and Green Communities". PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia -- The search for the Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 that disappeared on March 8 last year will continue, Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai told reporters on Friday.

Liow told a press conference in the Ministry of Transport, "so far, over 26,000 square km of the seafloor, or over 40 percent of the total priority zone, have been searched for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370." (Malaysia-MH370-Search)

PHNOM PENH, March 6 -- The Cambodia's Council of Ministers, or Cabinet, on Friday approved an Industrial Development Policy (IDP) 2015-2025 with an aim of diversifying the economy, which currently depends on garments, tourism, construction and agriculture.

The approval was made during a weekly Cabinet meeting, which was chaired by Prime Minister Hun Sen, according to a news statement released after the meeting. (Cambodia-Development Policy) Endi
