Iceland sees trade surplus decrease in Feb.

Iceland saw its balance of trade decrease to a surplus of 6.6 billion Icelandic krona (48.9 million U.S. dollars) in February, down from a surplus of 8.1 billion Icelandic krona in January, Statistics Iceland said Thursday.

Preliminary figures show the value of exported goods amounted to 51.2 billion krona, while the value of imported goods amounted to 44.6 billion krona in February.

Compared with January, the value of exported goods in February increased 600 million krona, while the value of imported goods in February increased 2.1 billion krona. (1 Icelandic krona = 0.00741 U.S. dollars) Endit
