French stock market index down 0.98 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 0.98 percent to close at 4,869.25 points on Tuesday, down 48.07 points.

The CAC 40 closed lower with 32 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decreases.

Tuesday's top three gainers were Technip, up 2.25 percent, Vivendi, up 1.42 percent, and Legrand, up 1.37 percent.

The three companies which lost most on Tuesday were BNP Paribas, down 3.10 percent, Veolia Environnement, down 2.95 percent, and Valeo, down 2.66 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 0.69 percent to close at 4,917.32 points, down 34.16 points. Enditem
