IBM to establish research centre for mobile devices security in Slovakia

Xinhua, March 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

IBM, in collaboration with the Slovak University of Technology, are working on establishing a research centre devoted to the analysis and protection of data in mobile devices, IBM Slovakia general director Martin Murgac announced Monday.

The project will seek to support state-of-the-art research that will ultimately enable businesses and organizations to keep in touch online through mobile devices, cloud solutions and social networks while facing no security threats.

"The international research centre will bring top-notch research in the area of big data. Students of the Slovak University of Technology will be engaged in practical simulation and testing of security breaches in mobile devices, and will tackle specific tasks needed to attain the desired results," Murgac said.

The project is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the education, science, research and sport ministry's agency for EU structural funds. Endit
