Gambia understudies Ghana FA operations

Xinhua, March 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

The General Secretary of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF) Abass Bah is in Ghana to study the operations of the Ghanaian FA.

The move forms part of the objectives of Gambia's newly elected football executives to develop their human resource and other areas of the game, according to a release by the GFA on Monday.

Bah said his two weeks stay in Ghana will offer him the opportunity to study the GFA's administrative systems to understand how it operates in terms of managing football.

"I am here to learn the best practices that the GFA is doing in their football development. In Gambia, we see Ghana as the success story when it comes to football," he said after meeting with GFA General Secretary, Emmanuel Gyimah.

The GFF chief scribe is expected to work in the competitions and technical department and will also study the various FIFA Goal Projects to emulate Ghana's example in managing these projects for the development of football in the country.

He also reiterated the GFF's gratitude for the role the GFA's Technical Director Oti Akenteng played in helping Gambia to restructure its technical department.

Bah will end his familiarization visit on March 13 and return to assume his administrative duties in his home nation. Endite
