Senior leader stresses loyalty, honesty to CPC

Liu Yunshan, a senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on Sunday urged Party officials to become more allegiant, clean and able to bear the responsibility to better serve the people.

Liu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and president of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at the school's spring semester opening ceremony.

Liu urged CPC officials at all levels to always put the Party's cause and people's interest first.

Officials should be honest and upright, and implement the "Four Comprehensives" strategic layout outlined by President Xi Jinping.

"All officials should be brave to tackle challenges, promote economic development, deepen reform, and advance the rule of law," said Liu.

Liu urged official to strictly abide by the CPC disciplines and resolutely fight corruption.

"Loyalty and honesty would be important criteria in cadre selection and assessment," added Liu.

The "Four Comprehensives" refer to "comprehensively building a moderately prosperous society", "comprehensively deepening reform", "comprehensively advancing the rule of law", and "comprehensively strictly governing the Party". Endi
