Chrysler recalls vehicles over fire risk

Xinhua, February 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chrysler will recall 14,213 of its Wrangler vehicles in China over fire risks, the country's top quality watchdog said on Saturday.

The affected vehicles were manufactured between June 28, 2010 and July 21, 2014, according to a notice released by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.

Chrysler said that the wiring for the vehicles' vanity mirror lights may corrode and cause short circuits and fires.

The company has promised to repair the faulty components free of charge under a recall starting March 2. Endi
