Japan's industrial output marks 4 pct growth in January

Japan's industrial output grew a seasonally adjusted 4.0 percent in January from the previous month, the Japanese Industry Ministry said Friday.

The index of output at factories and mines stood at 102.6 against the base of 100 in 2010, according to the ministry in a preliminary report.

The index of industrial shipments increased 5.8 percent to 103. 9, while that of inventories shed 0.6 percent to 111.0. Endi
