Poland obtains biggest EU funds for 2014-2020

Polish Prime Minister, Ewa Kopacz, said on Thursday that Poland obtained the biggest European Union (EU) funds of all the EU countries, as far as the European Cohesion Policy Funds are concerned.
The allocations are to be used between 2014 and 2020.
On the same day, the European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Cretu visited Warsaw to meet with Polish Prime Minister, Ewa Kopacz, and Maria Wasiak, Minister of Infrastructure and Development of Poland.
The main topics discussed were the Poland's cohesion policy and new EU requirements, especially in the fact that the Cohesion Policy Funds allocated in Poland for years 2014-2020 were record high.
During the press conference, held in connection with the Opening Ceremony of the Financial Perspectives 2014-2020 in Warsaw, Kopacz said that due to its successful negotiations, Poland got the biggest EU funds of all the EU countries.
The Polish prime minister in her speech underlined the fact that Poland gets the biggest funds in history, which will contribute to taking another civilization leap forward.
Poland's planned main investment fields, which would benefits from the EU, include creating new workplaces and education units, public transport, innovative research, small and medium size enterprises, education, digitization and many more.
Poland has more than 82.5 billion euros (92.43 billion U.S. dollars) from the European Cohesion Policy Funds to be used within the years 2014-2020, which is more than any other EU member state was given. It is also more than same funds for years 2007-2013, which was only 68 billion euros. (1 euro = 1.12 U.S. dollars) Endit
