U.S. assists Sri Lanka in demining efforts

Xinhua, February 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

The United States has donated demining equipment for Sri Lanka's war-ravaged northern region, the island nation's government said in a statement on Thursday.

Lt. Dave Chesson from the U.S. Embassy in Colombo delivered the donated equipment to the Sri Lankan army to assist with the demining efforts in the former war-affected areas of the country.
