6 injured in Indian-controlled Kashmir's bombing

At least six civilians were wounded Thursday after an explosive device went off below the debris of a house razed to ground during a gunfight between militants and Indian troops in Indian- controlled Kashmir, police said.

The blast took place in Heff-Shirmal village in Shopian district, 62 km south of Srinagar, summer capital of Indian- controlled Kashmir.

"Six civilians were wounded today when an explosive device went off near the yesterday's gunfight site," a police official said.

"The civilians were trying to clear the debris of the house that was razed to ground during the gunfight."

Two militants were killed and four Indian military troops including an officer were wounded during the fierce gunfight in the village on Wednesday. Endi
