Tajikistan's Istiqlol to play Iraq's Arbil in 2015 AFC Cup group stage

Tajikistan's Istiqlol will open its Group C campaign against Iraq's Arbil, who lost the 2014 AFC Cup final on penalties to Qadsia, here at Dushanbe Central Stadium on Wednesday.

Arbil coach Ayoub Odecho Bargam said that bad weather conditions will not frighten his team and they will play hard to win the game.

"Before leaving for Dushanbe, we have lost two our players because of difficult political situation in Iraq. But we have players who can replace them," said Ayoub Odecho Bargam.

FC Istiqlol coach Mubin Ergashev, for his part, said: "We have spent a lot of time preparing for the match, including a training camp in Turkey, so we are in a good physical situation." Endi
