Do or die for Botswana's Township Rollers

Xinhua, February 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

February 28 promises to deliver a mouth watering clash between Botswana's Township Rollers and South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs in Gaborone, capital of Botswana.

The two football giants will meet in the second leg game of the Confederation of African football club competition at Botswana National Stadium.

The first leg was played a fortnight ago in FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa as Kaizer Chiefs won 2-1.

Kaizer chiefs will have to deal with the local fans that have promised to fill the National stadium to the rafters. The carrying capacity of the national stadium is 25,000 and only the 28th will tell if at all local fans will leave up to their ambition.

Tactical Kaizer Chiefs has an upper hand when taking in consideration their setup and the facilities they boast of but the display on the pitch is what will separate the two teams on the day.

Township rollers will seek to emulate Gaborone United who in the past few years managed to eliminate South African giants and last years CAF club's cup finalist Orlando pirates.

An away goal that Township Rollers scored in South Africa will also spice things up in the clash for a solitary goal by the local side can see them cruise through to the next round.

The two teams are taking part in three different cups in their respected countries something that can dictate the pace of Saturday's game.

Township Rollers coach Madinda Ndlovu has the same sentiments saying he knows fatigue can be a problem for his boys but he has said he will work on a lighter training routine this week so as that his players will come with some relief to the game. Endi
