Brazil calls up Souza for Davis Cup tie

Xinhua, February 25, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazil Davis Cup captain Joao Zwetsch has called up Joao Souza for his team's tie against Argentina next month.

Souza, ranked 77 in the world, impressed Zwetsch by making the semifinals of the Brazil Open and quarterfinals of the Rio Open earlier this month.

The 26-year-old, known locally by his nickname Feijao, joins Thomaz Bellucci, Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares in the Brazil squad.

The tie will be played in Buenos Aires from March 6-8.

Meanwhile Argentina captain Daniel Orsanic included Leonardo Mayer, Federico Delbonis, Diego Schwartzman and Carlos Berlocq in his team.

The winner of the tie will play Serbia or Croatia in the quarterfinals of the World Group. Endi
