Germany's benchmark DAX index continues to advance

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday continued to advanced and closed at 11,130.92 points.

The bullish trend at the stock exchange continued after Greece reached a tentative agreement with euro zone creditors, according to analysts. The blue-chip index gained 80.28 points, or 0.73 percent.

Deutsche Boerse AG, topped the list of risers, up by 2.72 percent. Merck KGaA, a chemical and pharmaceutical company, advanced by 2.22 percent. Volkswagen AG Vz climbed by 1.62 percent. Henkel AG & Co. KGaA Vz, a laundry and home care producer, added 1.6 percent. The utilities company RWE AG St went up by 1.56 percent.

ThyssenKrupp AG dropped by 1.12 percent. Deutsche Telekom AG slipped by 0.6 percent. LANXESS AG, a leading specialty chemicals company, slid by 0.58 percent. Deutsche Bank AG lost 0.43 percent and Continental AG went slightly down by 0.23 percent.

The turnover stood at 3.1 billion euros (around 3.53 billion U.S. dollars ). Daimler AG was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 223.93 million euros. (1 euro = 1.14 U.S. dollars) Endit
